# Forward Deployed Engineer (m/w/d)

[← All roles](https://www.auvy.ai/careers)

As a Forward Deployed Engineer you work inside our clients' projects. You use AUVY itself to find where it falls short and where a team does not use it yet, and you fix the cause in the product.

Place

Remote, anywhere in Germany

Hours

15–20 h a week

[Apply](#apply) About two minutes, no account.

## The work

- You connect a firm's mailbox, calendar and SharePoint to AUVY, read only, with its written consent and only the access the project needs.
- You work in the firm's projects every day and see where the team relies on AUVY and where it falls back to old habits.
- You investigate with AUVY itself: you ask it what it missed, trace every line of the weekly brief to its source and find where it does not hold.
- When something is missing or wrong, you find the cause in logs, API calls and data and fix it in TypeScript, with a test that fails before the fix.
- What you learn becomes fixes in the product, a better setup for the firm and the runbook the next firm starts with.

## Your first 90 days

1. Day 1 Your setup runs and your onboarding is done: AUVY, the codebase, a client project and your first ticket.
2. Day 30 Your first fixes are in production, and you own the checks on one client project.
3. Day 60 You know where that project's team uses AUVY and where it does not, and you have changed what held it back.
4. Day 90 A firm starts with your runbook, without a founder beside it, and your check set shows whether AUVY got better.

## What we look for

Needed

- You work daily and in depth with coding agents such as Codex, Claude Code or comparable tools, and check what they produce before you use it
- You are enrolled and can work 15 to 20 hours a week during the semester
- You know how modern infrastructure runs and build in full TypeScript on current frameworks such as Next.js
- You know HTTP, JSON, SQL and Git well and narrow a fault down to the record that is wrong
- You think in business and consulting terms by instinct: what a client pays for, where a project makes its margin and what an owner decides on
- You read German project mail and can tell what was agreed from what someone only asked
- You write your steps down so someone else can repeat them
- You handle client data and access with care and ask for no more access than a task needs

A plus

- You work with English technical documentation
- Experience with API integrations, automated tests or checking model output against a reference
- You can explain to a project lead what works and where the limit is, without pitching

## What we offer

15 to 20 hours a week alongside your studies, directly with co-founder Patrick Schröppel, who builds AUVY's engine. Every change you make gets a code review and goes to production. You work across our projects as they need you, and each one sits at the front of what AI can do inside a company today.
